How do I review footage on DMSS?
Video guide:
Text guide:
Step 1:
Start on the beginning screen of DMSS, then tap on the play button, indicated by the triangle in the circle
step 1:
You will now see a screen showing you all the cameras you have connected to your system
Start by selecting the camera that you want to review the footage on, and then tap on the “playback” button
step 2:
From this screen, you have a few options on how to review your footage, the footage starts from 12:00 am that morning and continues until current time. (Note that the small video view in the bottom right is the current time feed, you may click the X in the top right of the smaller picture to get rid of it, if needed)
Your first option to review footage is to manually drag across the timeline, this is useful if you know exactly when on the timeline you want to see, or if you have a specific time an incident occurred.
The other option presented to you is indicated by the blue funnel icon located above the timeline.
This will open a screen showing you a lot of options, I will go over the important ones here
The first area is the calendar area, the dates showing blue reels are recorded days that have been saved on your device. The number of days prior that are saved on the device is dependent on how many cameras your system has, and how much storage it has for the recordings total, so it will vary depending on the system.
The next section is the record type, all these options will scour the day selected and will show you footage from that camera, of the chosen type.
For example, selecting “Alarm” will show you all the times the alarm went off on that specific camera while selecting “Motion: Vehicle” will show you all the times the camera detected vehicle movement on that day.
These options are useful when you don’t have a specific time or incident you are looking for, and just want to check for any broad incidents.
